I hope you had the time of your life……

Well, that day has come for two people I’ve watched grow up, and I have to say it feels a bit weird. My brother Matthew Easter and his cousin Rebecca Portis have made it through senior year and are now graduating this Saturday(05-28-2011) in Winston-Salem, NC! It’s just so hard to believe that they have both grown up on me. It’s a happy time, and an emotional time as they both prepare for the next phase of their life. I hope you’ve had the time of your life……….

Congratulations graduates of 2011! You made it, and we all couldn’t be more proud!

Oh The Time!

Well, can you believe we are in graduation season already? I feel like just yesterday I was sitting at home in my blue, fuzzy pajamas, and wrapped in a blanket freezing from the January month.

May 28th will mark a special day for two special people. On that day my little brother Matthew Easter and his cousin Rebecca Portis will be graduating. Here’s a sneak peak of what you will be seeing later this week.

Legend of the Dogwood, and the Eventful Weekend.

There certainly has been a lot going on since my last blog post. The royal wedding has taken place, and today we’ve all found out that Osama bin Laden has been killed. So it has been quite the eventful weekend and today. I wish I could have photographed the royal wedding, as does every wedding photographer in the world. That dress was absolutely stunning, and her reception dress was even more beautiful! She is just a beautiful and gorgeous woman all the way around!

Well, I may not have photographed the royal wedding, but I’ve been doing some photography practice in my spare time(which these days is a rarity). I don’t think I could stop photographing if I tried, but I’m trying to find a balance with carrying my camera around everywhere. It’s hard, but I am trying.

You’ve seen this face before, but this is my cutie pie Buster! He’s goofy, crazy, sometimes down right a pain, but I wouldn’t trade him for the world!

These are our beautiful dogwood tree that sits in our front yard. Have you ever heard of the Legend of the Dogwood? Some people say that this was the tree they chopped down and made into the cross that they crucified Jesus on. That’s why the dogwood flowers are in the shape of a cross. Someone told me that a while back, and now I just sit and stare at those dogwood blooms, and for the first time I realized they were actually in the shape of a cross. I had really never noticed it before.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Monday! God Bless!

First Easters and Peaceful Days Under the Shade Tree

On 04-21-2011 I had a shoot with one of my most adorable clients to date! This was his very first Easter, and of course this is exciting. This is a year full of firsts for this little bundle of joy.

It was 6 months ago on Nov. 1, 2011 that this beautiful, blue eyed boy entered into the world. Since then there are have been a multitude of firsts, not only for him, but for his parents too. I have never seen a child so peaceful and calm outside, except for Logan. He was soaking up every little detail from the blades of grass to the swaying of the leaves as the wind blew through them.

You are sure to be greeted with lots of smiles and giggles when visiting, and when he’s in his elements. Happy Easter Logan! I hope you and your family have had a wonderful and beautiful Easter weekend!
